All political discussions should begin with "80% of the US population has 7% of the wealth. We can either fight over the scraps, or demand a seat at the table."

From time to time I think about how I was pilloried on Twitter for calling him a fascist in 2016, how I was chastised for calling ICE centers concentration camps in 2019, and about commentators on our own side who truly lost it when I said Biden wasn't fighting back.

The Americans Who Saw All This Coming—but Were Ignored and Maligned
Call them the Cassandras: the people—mostly not white and male—who smelled the fascism all over Trump from jump street. Why were they “alarmists,” and how did “anti-alarmism” become cool?

There is no “point of no return.”

There will always be resistance as long as people yearn for freedom.

As we enter Pride month tomorrow it's important to remember that Pride is not sponsored by corporations, it's brought to you by the drag queens who stood up at Stonewall, and everyone who fights every day for equality. There were no corporate sponsors in 1969 and we don't need them now. #Pride 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈
Pride events face budget shortfalls as US corporations pull support ahead of summer festivities
After years of sponsoring LGBTQ+ Pride events around the country, some companies are pulling their financial support.

Broken Record: You *cannot sustain* a functioning constitutional order if the general population is blasé about open violation of the Constitution. If voters don't care, your job is to make them care. This is not optional. If you don't, you lose even if you pick up seats in the next election.

I think it is! Why don't we the people have the ability to petition for a presidential recall election?
Is this “election fraud” also?

Disagree. Rebuplicans are not pro-anything. They are opposed to freedom.
Daily reminder:

Republicans are playing politics with our lives.

They are NOT pro-life - they are pro-birth,

Great news, folks!

After months of denying that they were going to cut Medicaid by $880 billion

Republicans have now quelled that rumor

By announcing they’re “only” going to cut $600 billion in benefits

So that way, you know, only 25,500 people will die instead of 34,000

This tracks: In our new report "100 days, 100 Ways Trump has Hurt Workers," we had to cut the list *down* to get it to 100.

For the record, we would have included positive actions if there were any—but there is only harm. A lot of it. Already.

The 19 richest U.S. households saw a $1 trillion wealth increase in 2024, a rise that exceeds the size of Switzerland’s economy.

These 19 households now control $2.6 trillion in wealth — almost as much wealth as the bottom 50% of American households.

If this isn't an oligarchy, what is?

BREAKING: Police just surrounded Rev. William Barber, prominent activist and pastor, as he and others prayed in the U.S. Capitol Rontunda.

Police then expelled everyone (including press!) from the Rotunda to (presumably) arrest them.

I've covered protests here a lot. Never seen anything like it.
