Newmarket MP Matt Hancock gave a £37bn Covid testing contract to Jockey Club director Dido Harding, who subcontracted it to Grand National sponsor Randox, employer of Tory MP Owen Paterson, whose late wife chaired Aintree racecourse. That's how the Tories handled the pandemic.

2016 was a weird year. Of those we lost; Bowie, George Michael, Victoria Wood, Alan Rickman & more, I find myself pining for Carrie Fisher. Her writing gives me so much joy. The humour, pathos, wordplay and wit; laughing & crying in one sentence. Sadly we’ll never know what more she could have given

I really don't want to go through the whole rigmarole of seeing Farage win power and then fuck everything up and have loads of sympathetic voxpops with dismayed Reform voters expressing their regrets when it was extremely fucking obvious what would happen because his platform is incoherent garbage

Nice work, Private Eye.

Celebs, stop using the publishing industry as your casual publicity platform.

And if you *really* want to be a published author, either write the book yourself or name your ghostwriter and give them proper credit.

We’re tired of this crap.

Anyone discovered the reason(s) for BJ's unrelenting promotion of Miss Owen yet? All we can do is speculate upon the potential merits, genetic or otherwise, that catapulted her to the dizzy and lucrative heights she has been gifted 🤔
Latest on Charlotte Owen, the obscure 29 year old catapulted in Boris Johnson’s resignation honours into the House of Lords, is that BJ has also made her VP of a nuclear energy company he’s set up with his former minister Chris Skidmore & a mine owner 👀 open.substack.com/pub/alanrusb...
First a peerage, now a plum job—why does Boris keep promoting Charlotte Owen?
Baroness Owen was just 29 when she was given a life peerage by the former prime minister. A year on, she has another new role. What makes her so uniquely qualified?
