Watching more than 100 clergy and faith leaders demanding peace, and justice, demanding that ICE needs to leave our state. Knowing there's hundreds of Minnesotans out on patrol right now, protecting neighbors. It's bad here but there's also so much good, man.

If Minnesota doesn't at least try to charge the murderer in the ICE uniform, they should just return the Battle Flag of the Virginia 28th. There's a fight for freedom from tyranny or there's surrender.

Renee's wife said they don't have any people nearby. I'm 7 years in, I can attest that MN is a particularly hard place to feel far from your people.

Flatly wrong. No, it is not true that ICE only has jurisdiction over immigration issues and can’t arrest citizens. Immigration officers have authority to criminally arrest anyone for any “offense against the United States” (interfering with a federal officer would count) and any felony they witness.
I'm hearing a lot of talk that they did not have legal authority to compel a U.S. citizen to exit her car, what's your take on that?

Thank you, @jonlovett.bsky.social for saying this. I felt heartened to hear you, with your platform, saying what I believe too. In 2017’s Muslim ban aftermath I was living 6 miles from LaGuardia and feeling useless, so I upended my whole life to become an immigration attorney. So, again, thank you.
