I had been searching earlier for a map of this sort.
One cannot help but notice exactly none of these locations are particularly close to the continental United States, nor are most of them on any course that would ever become close.

At the risk of hugging the third rail, the truth of the academic job market, at least in history or classics, is neither DEI or anti-DEI.
It is that that 1) there are no jobs and 2) our hiring culture treats candidates like they 'spoil' after a few years.

That's the takeaway that needs to be shouted from the rooftops. We gave up critical safety nets and services and got worse than nothing in return. Not even the sacred libertarian goal of debt reduction. Just chaos.

Someone asked me a good question on here. How do we stop ICE from violating our constitutional rights. We don't. Our local elected officials do that job. Our Governor, or Sheriffs our mayors, Police. They stop ICE. With force if necessary. That's how you stop ICE from pulling us out of our homes.
