"will you vote for Newsom over a Republican candidate if he's the nominee" is exactly the same question as "is it okay to say the n-word if it's the only way to stop a nuke going off in new york city"
Where do they get the idea about “absolute loyalty” to Newsom of all people? Like do they assume that any pushback to bad faith attacks or misinfo means that Dems are super into that person or what ?

Franzi Schimmer captured this Grizzly bear in Brooks Falls, Alaska just floating along, tippy-tapping down the river, browsing the salmon.

Prior to hibernation, up to 40% of a bear's body mass is fat, which is less dense than water (~0.9 g/cm^2), so the murder-monster is also a floaty-boaty.

In O'Brian's HMS Surprise, this battle is lightly fictionalized with Jack Aubrey taking Dance's part.
1804. Oceans are now Battlefields.

In the South China Sea a British convoy worth almost £1bn today is spotted by the French.

It should be a massacre.

Instead, Commodore Nathanial Dance is about to defeat a French battle squadron using some paint and the most overplayed hand in #navalHistory. /1 🧵

It’s absolutely hilarious to me that Katie Sackhoff’s husband looks like he came off the same blandly handsome actor production line as Starbuck’s two big love interests on BSG

I do really like LLMs for semantic (as opposed to textual) search, but half the reason LLMs have "replaced Google" for people is because Google has spent the last ten years making their core product progressively shittier for the user.
I am constantly forced to confront this at various media gatherings (at one today!) and people still talk about it mythically, hype up edge cases, and when I ask regular AI users how it has dramatically changed their everyday life they say “it’s replaced Google for me,” because it summarizes Google.
