NEW: Drug companies in the U.S. face few restraints on what to charge for their products.

A bipartisan bill would penalize those companies that sell their drugs at higher prices than the average of the prices in other wealthy nations.

Disability is not a moral failing. Everyone who lives long enough will become disabled eventually.

You can’t “try harder” your way out of it.

People can’t accept disability is a part of life, so they blame us for being sick as a way to convince themselves it’ll never happen to them.

It will.

They’ll do it in a few high profile cases to set examples. People will say, “No way this holds up in court.” Maybe. But we now know the plan: they’ll do it first, then dare the courts to stop them. And this too will be very difficult for courts to undo. This is end of democracy stuff.

WOW: @miamiherald.com reveals that a person imprisoned in El Salvador had LEGAL REFUGEE STATUS.

He entered the USA legally in January and was detained because of his tattoos, EVEN THOUGH he had previously passed a full background check.

Without warning, he was sent to El Salvador on March 15.

Criminalizing a completely normal response to a miscarriage is scary as hell. It’s an attempt to normalize pregnancy surveillance.

I don’t mean to be gross, but it’s important for context: early miscarriages look, basically, like a thick, bloody loogie.

If Trump can disappear green card holders for protesting war, he can disappear you.

If he can disappear visa holders for criticizing him, he can disappear you.

If he can disappear asylum seekers for tattoos, he can disappear you.

We must speak out now — before there is no one left to speak out.

This was always where it was going to go: when the President claims it can detain and remove anyone without judicial review or due process, they will try to deport and remove people without judicial review and due process.

Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes.

The expected standard of behavior Americans have for Democratic versus Republican politicians has always been clearly unfair, but the way Republicans swallow Trump's short-comings is kind of staggering.
Imagine if Joe Biden had reposted a liberal pundit saying ‘shut up about gas prices’ in 2022. It would have led the news, all of the news, for days, weeks, on end.
