I'm American and call it Kraft Dinner not to be cutesy, but because you know full well that's dinner.
I straight up stopped watching “Stranger Things” after Season 1. Didn’t even see the mall. Now these kids look old enough to have mortgages? Just miss me with it.

Meanwhile his gov't is rounding up people w/out any due process & imprisoning them under unsanitary conditions without adequate food, water & medical care where pregnant women are having miscarriages. He has no standing, moral or otherwise to talk about violation of human rights in other countries.
"Countries with state subsidies for abortion, transgender-friendly policies for children, hate speech laws and affirmative action policies will now be considered to be violating human rights under rules imposed at the [US] State Department..."

You know, for all the alt-history asking “what if the Nazis won?” why don’t we have more asking “what if the Nazis were COMPLETELY routed, early and definitively?” Nuke Berlin. Turn Hitler inside-out. Fling U-Boats so far inland the Czechs are picking up floatation devices.

Literally just lectured about this!

In the late 1960s, air quality was so bad in several cities they had to turn on the street lights during the day so drivers could see. And yeah, the Cuyahoga River was so polluted it literally caught on fire.
Oh, I don’t know. Our rivers no longer catch on fire and our air is far less poisonous than it used to be, even in smog bowls like Los Angeles. And I think those are good things.
If there’s no shale gas then there’s no shale gas, but I still think environmentalism is basically bad and politicians should focus more on material prosperity.

As to point 3-a reminder that their cheerleading for Harvard-pays-half-a-bil has so far failed, and they have simply stopped talking about it, rather than explaining why it is they kept doing dirty work for the Trump admin.

A great story for journalists to find out the who/what/why/when on that
1) 'Why I Resigned' from UVa Prez 100% worth reading www.documentcloud.org/documents/26...

2) Events were forced by NYT story w leaked info that he was under pressure to resign. UVa prez has 'no idea' where leaks came from (See below.)

3) FWIW same NYT team did leaked "Harvard will cave" stories

I want to spell this out in case the implications aren't clear:

This means all public tools/webapps of GISAID data (all the ones you've been used to seeing thru the pandemic, as far as we can tell) are prohibited.

The file allowed this. Cut that - cut off all tools the public & others were using.
On Oct 1, 2025, GISAID informed us that they had ended updates to the flat file of SARS-CoV-2 genomic sequences and associated metadata that we had used to update Nextstrain analyses since Feb 2020. GISAID's stated rationale was that their "resources are limited". 1/5

I’ve given up on “Fallout.” At some point, society WILL rebuild. Level-setting, destroying the NCR, using the BoS as some excuse to roll over any budding faction, just—

Fuck you. That’s all there is to it. “War never changes” is a crutch, a truism.

DC journo brain: Dems give a shit about norms, so they should follow them; Republicans don't give a shit about them, so they can do whatever they want. It's explicit!
HUNT: Dems have argued that the norms of our govt should be that you negotiate policy outside of a shutdown

GALLEGO: You're talking about norms in a time of Donald Trump?

H: But Ds have spent so much time arguing that maintaining norms is incredibly important

G: It's all out the window, Kasie. No

The post from the Reagan Foundation is just complete gibberish.

The ad did not, in fact, misrepresent Reagan's views. But the idea that anyone needs the Reagan Foundation's goddamn permission to use the publicly broadcast official remarks of a former president and/or edit them for brevity is crazy

Really, EVANSTON? The place with an Urban Outfitters in walking distance of the Red Line stop?
For folks asking if they've made it *inside* a Home Depot yet as the business has clearly just continued letting agents do whatever they want in their lots, the answer is yes. This is from yesterday in Evanston.
