Even *if* you accept Stephen Miller’s (textually, historically, and morally indefensible) claim that undocumented immigrants are not entitled to due process, you’d *still* need due process to ensure that the individuals at issue are, in fact, undocumented.

His argument fails even on its own terms.

Called my congressman who voted for the SAVE act.

Me: What documents will I need to vote if this passes?
Staffer: a DL and birth certificate.
Me: The documents don’t match
Staffer: Then a marriage certificate.
Me: Will my husband need the marriage certificate too?
Staffer: No
Me: See the problem?

Some personal news: the Department of Homeland Security has given me, an immigration lawyer born in Newton, Massachusetts, seven days to leave the U.S. Does anyone know if you can get Italian citizenship through great-grandparents?

The sports bra was invented in the mid-1970s after women needed "a jockstrap, but for our boobs.” It continues to revolutionize sports and women's rights. nyti.ms/3FKFGjR

No matter your station in life, there is astoundingly little separating you from those men in that cage behind Kristi Noem. No charges, no attorneys, no hearings, no trial. Just conjecture and brute force could be enough to justify completely dehumanizing you, too.

They are arresting people on the streets, terminating their visas, and disappearing them for writing things they disagree with. This is where we are. Two months in. Right now. If you think they won’t begin coming after citizens soon, you are mistaken.

A look at what happened at IMLS yesterday, as well as what we should prepare to happen in the coming days, weeks, and months.

This agency is going to be a tool of the administration for pumping propaganda.

The tactics used in book banning will also be used here to tie the hands of professionals.

I'll keep saying it until people in power start listening:

It's not social media that is primarily causing mental health issues for young people.

It's the material economic conditions they face and then see/express on SM that causes it. (healthcare worries, cost of living, unaffordable rent etc)

He didn’t tell police or the FBI.

He didn’t tell family or friends.
