Read these rate increases.

At least one of the Senate Dems who caved explained it…rationalized it…with political speak—saying Rs would own the increase and heartache.
My ACA current plan is going from $385/mo to $821/mo.

Yeah, individual Americans being “entrepreneurs” who “negotiate” with health insurance companies — what a great idea. The man is a genius.

And, hey, how about one of those 50-year mortgages?!
Trump: "I want the money to go into an account for people where they buy their own health insurance. It's so good. The insurance will be better. It'll cost less. Everybody is gonna be happy. They're gonna feel like entrepreneurs. They're actually able to go out & negotiate their own insurance"

Another way of putting it is Trump is a malleable, vain moron and everyone knows it and whether a department head or a foreign operator everyone knows if you appeal to his vanity he’ll likely do whatever you want. Til he realizes you played him.
That’s one way of putting it: “The episode underscores the haphazard ways consequential policies are sometimes brought before the president, and how Trump’s govern-by-whim nature can backfire.” www.politico.com/news/2025/11...

Wow. If only we could have seen that coming.

I can't tell you how many interviews I've done where I've been asked: If Trump's policies are so problematic, why are U.S. stocks rising so rapidly.

A bit of international context illustrates the real issue here.

U.S. stocks have dramatically underperformed other advanced economies.

Asked to explain, this Senator condescendingly filibustered and dodged into a “we’ll see.”

What more does anyone need to see exactly?!?!

I salute moderate Democrats who bravely caved to the GOP in the government shutdown fight. When an opposing party is offering a daily cyclone of lies, the best move is to always give them an extra inch, confident they would never dare take a mile.

Gutless. And selfish.

Over and over and over again — those are the words I find myself using when describing the actions of so many, too many, of our elected officials.

Gutless. Selfish.

There’s no politics or journalistic objectivity to consider here. If you’re on the side of ICE, you have no humanity.

He publicly goes after people who work insanely stressful jobs, and who had to do so with no pay because of his madness, because he wants to screw over working Americans and make their healthcare more expensive. …. Totally stable. Dems can totally trust his party’s word. 👍
Trump to air traffic controllers: "For those that did nothing but complain, and took time off, even though everyone knew they would be paid, IN FULL, shortly into the future, I am NOT HAPPY WITH YOU. You didn’t step up to help the U.S.A. against the FAKE DEMOCRAT ATTACK"

Sociological fact that those “at the top” of private and public sector represent an exponentially higher density of malignant narcissists and sociopaths than found in general population. In before times, most tried to hide it; now, having no shame, no empathy is incentivized. It’s “Great.”
i dont think there’s ever been a point where corporate america has had a sincere sense of morality but it is probably a sign of the times that the culture at most major firms does not even pretend to encourage ethical behavior anymore. the transformation is really stark in tech.
i honestly do not know what major company in america isnt involved in some ghastly shit at this point? i just would not *do* the ghastly shit yourself.

My chief concern has been and continues to be a President Trump who takes completely unhinged, criminal advantage of “official acts” immunity *and* his presidential pardon power. As awful as he has been thus far, in my opinion, we have yet to see that monster, and I believe we will.
The language of this pardon is extremely broad.

It includes “all United States citizens for conduct relating to the advice, creation, organization, execution, submission, support, voting, activities, participation in, or advocacy for or of any slate or proposed slate of Presidential
electors…”
November 10, 2025 at 5:44 AM
It cannot be overstated — just how critical all of journalists are who have been hustling to be on scene and bear witness with their reporting to the so many brutal, unjust acts by ICE around the country. Imagine if we didn’t have these journalists doing the work.

Actually, being the conman failure that he is, he couldn’t even call a play.
Government is shut down. Chaos in airports. 42 million going hungry. 24 million face skyrocketing healthcare costs. Economy in turmoil. And the president of the United States is in the Fox broadcast booth calling plays for a football game.
