"Stands the church clock at 10 to 3?
And is there honey still for tea?"

While we're on Rupert Brooke, from The Great Lover:
"The cool kindliness of sheets that soon smooth away trouble, and the rough male kiss of blankets"
Which lines of poetry live rent-free in your head?

With all the hypocritical and frankly ludicrous announcements that Reform make it should be an open goal for the bigger parties to dismiss and reduce them. So why are they all afraid of Reform?
This story should be used endlessly to mock them but I won't hold my breath.
As Farage pledges to open up Britain for fracking, hilariously the Reform-led council in Lancashire says “oh, there’ll be no fracking HERE”

Self-serving shambolic hypocrisy, borne out of knowing that fracking is deeply unpopular in Lancashire - and everywhere

No fracking in Lancashire, says Reform-led council
Reform UK councillors say a wider promise to restart fracking will not affect the county.

Literally was just discussing this yesterday. I'm starting to wonder if I'm the crazy one because everybody outside my Bluesky bubble seems totally bought into LLM/AI. I've never used it at all and I don't feel like I'm missing out but everything out there is trying to tell me that I need it.
in the last few days i have had 3 separate conversations where my saying ‘i don’t use chat GPT’ is treated like i’ve said ‘i don’t turn on the light in my house because i think it’s powered by a demon’. it’s a dividing line that i wasn’t really aware of

Not one.

Our Labour government is on the side of drivers.

This Easter, over a thousand miles of roadworks will be lifted to make journeys smoother, and thanks to Labour’s Plan for Change, drivers are set to be £500 better off ✅

after years of joking about it, i have chosen to seriously believe that tomorrow is silksong day
If you're wondering — one reason to randomly drop a Switch 2 teaser 2.5 months ahead of the proper reveal would be to allow third-party companies to start officially announcing their games for the system

The person who filmed this is quoted in the article as saying that traffic in Manchester has become worse and worse in the past 22 years. You can cycle, bus, train or tram into the city and yet traffic (1/2)

My fashion sense is somewhat boho, I have an actual diploma in Aromatherapy and I will admit that I can be a bit of a wet blanket... so I am clearly Magrat Garlick. And I'm fine with that!
Too much focus on what Hogwarts house people would be sorted into and not enough focus on which Discworld witch you'd like to grow up to be imho
