In this commentary from Monique Stanton with the Michigan League for Public Policy, she says the plan to let SNAP funding lapse is not only “unconscionable and unprecedented…it’s illegal.”

Taking photos and video of law enforcement officers performing their duties in public is our constitutional right.

This includes police, FBI, National Guard troops, ICE agents, and other government officials.

More than that, it risks advancements to vaccinations for certain types of cancers, HIV/AIDS, and even more.
NEW: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. just cut $500 million in federal funding for life-saving vaccines.

This will affect 22 research projects combating viruses like bird flu and COVID.

How messed up do you have to be to say that stripping health coverage from up to 16 million people, removing food from kids, and raising taxes on some low-income people is “immaterial”?

🚨 There’s a lot of horrific news out of Washington right now—but you might have missed this: Senate Republicans just introduced a plan to sell off 120 million acres of our public lands.

Let me break down what’s in the bill and why it’s a full-scale land grab. 🧵

Especially if you're on the fence about it, protest today. Fascism is isolating and lonely. Its very goal is to make you feel like you're the only person unwilling to accept a cult of personality. On days like today you fully realize there are more of us than there are them. You will feel better.

I feel like maybe the framing of Trump sending the military to put down protests as a "feud" between Trump and Newsom is a little weird?

We need multiple forms of protest, multiple avenues of resistance, many ways to be pushing against these horrors at once.

There are going to start to be more protests, and that’s good, but we need strikes, slowdowns, document leaks, boycotts. We need loud public voices and refusals to comply.

Job Corps has helped countless Michiganders find a career and build a better life. The Trump administration's decision to pause this program will hurt Michigan families and our economy.

As a longtime supporter of Job Corps, I'll keep fighting to protect it.

The GOP plan kicks 8.6 million off of Medicaid. Rural hospitals will suffer, kids will lose care & people will get sick, all to give billionaires tax breaks. Medicaid is a promise to take care of each other. Trump wants to break it. Families lose, billionaires win. I’m a Hell NO!

This budget bill is stealing healthcare, housing, and retirement from seniors and low-income folks to pay for tax cuts for billionaires.

CFPB employees can't own stocks in companies that the agency regulates. A DOGE employee was warned by ethics lawyers that he held nearly $700K in stock in such companies.

He then carried out mass firings at the agency – including those ethics lawyers.

The corruption couldn’t be any more blatant.

My mom was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in 2013 and after going through a stem cell transplant, she was prescribed Revlimid. She wouldn't have been able to afford the drug if it weren't for a research study and then a patient assistance program. Luckily, 15 years later she is still with us!
New from @davidarmstrongx.bsky.social:

When I was diagnosed with cancer, I set out to understand why a single pill of Revlimid cost the same as a new iPhone. I’ve covered high drug prices as a reporter for years. What I discovered shocked even me.
