I think the shows are doing something right if antis have to increasingly grasp at straws to hate it. I mean, falling for in-universe propaganda is not something you do when you’re trying to critique a show in good faith. All they have is the same narrative now.

An all-too-common mistake is inferring the sexuality of historical figures based on contemporary standards that didn’t apply back then. For example, in the 1970s it was normal for a cop, a biker, a Native American, a construction worker, and a cowboy to be friends. It didn’t mean they were gay.

My big project for 2025 is that I’m going to finally solve the famous “Jack the Ripper” murders. I’ll start by travelling to London to interview the surviving witnesses, then go to the crime scenes to dust for prints.
