The Grand Banks of Newfoundland helped shape the history of Canada.
Many of Newfoundland's first communities were established thanks to the Grand Banks, where cod were said to be so plentiful they could be scooped up with a bucket.
This is the story of the Grand Banks.

Samuel Sharpe was a Member of Parliament who led men into battle at Vimy Ridge, Hill 70 and Passchendaele.
But when he came home, the war never left him and he ended his life.
It took over a century for Parliament to recognize his sacrifice.
This is his story.

In 1920, a brilliant Czech writer Karel Čapek gave us the figure of both the "robot" and the robot revolution. The robot persisted: what Čapek was trying to say has gotten lost. Good thing @jdharlock.bsky.social's come along to dig it back up.
