Some personal news: I have been financially supporting a family member in a mental health crisis which has spiraled into a financial disaster.
I would like to keep doing progressive activism but I can no longer pay rent for myself and my two kids.
Please help if you can. Thank you very much.

Deplatforming only works for viewpoints that have low virality potential. For false or hateful views on topics that are of high interest, refusing to debate them does not prevent spread.

People like this guy are the ones in charge of the Republican party. There are some more reasonable ones in the grassroots, but they have no power. All policy is being driven by people like Joel Webbon.

Right, the answer isn't to abandon the party to these weasels.
The answer is to flood the party with people who will take it over and transform it.

Hey, a lot of people are talking about changing affiliation from Democratic to Independent.
Let me tell you why you shouldn’t do that in Colorado.
One of the main ways to get a primary challenge candidate on a ballot is to caucus for your party. You need to be registered as a Dem to caucus.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.
People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.
And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

Not enough of these guys fear primaries.
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

They know that big scoops build subscribers. So many big news stories are handed to reporters. Now, Trumpers give them to social media posters. It works wonders for their numbers.

As always, Scott Bessent is looking out for the banking zombies. This would be a titanic capital injection to Wall Street before anything else it does on healthcare.

the TLDR from @matthew.flux.community long thread is "Right-wing tax policy is the biggest scam in history."
When you look at the red states, their tax systems drastically favor the rich over regular people.
Republicans want to steal your money and give it to rich people who do not contribute to society.
