Can vouch for Revision being a fun way to re-experience Deus Ex. If you want a closer to vanilla touch there's always GMDX.
Just FYI, if that Deus Ex remaster looks questionable, consider this community-made remake instead - same plot and voicework, overhauled almost everything else.
It has three rulesets. Default is most vanilla, but I like Biomod. Adds a bunch of new mechanics and all the skills/augs are viable.

This mod made me fall in love with DX all over again, and its incredibly goofy in the best way possible.
Oh yeah, there's one other big perk of Deus Ex Revision: It has Workshop support for *one* mod.
The Nameless Mod. The OTHER biggest mod for Deus Ex, which recently got a big overhaul.
It's a bit goofy (it's set in a VR version of the old Planet Deus Ex forums) but the missions are great.

Oof, this does not look great. These models look like Project HDTP which was NOT a pleasant experience to look at or to play (but I'm sure took a lot of work to bring to life, no shade on the authors of the original Mod).
