You guys, so many Romance girlies are reading "On Tyranny" that they've broken the Goodreads recommendations algorithm. 10/10; no notes.

“A.i.” sucks.
“'Like students facing hard exam questions, large language models sometimes guess when uncertain, producing plausible yet incorrect statements instead of admitting uncertainty,' the researchers wrote in the paper. 'Such ‘hallucinations’ persist even in state-of-the-art systems and undermine trust.'”
OpenAI admits AI hallucinations are mathematically inevitable, not just engineering flaws
In a landmark study, OpenAI researchers reveal that large language models will always produce plausible but false outputs, even with perfect data, due to fundamental statistical and computational limi...

Trump: Gutting National Parks—And Hiding the Evidence

National parks hit 331M visits, but Trump officials don’t want you to know. A leaked memo bans the Park Service from promoting the numbers—while firing rangers, closing visitor centers, and cutting safety.

This won’t go well—we love our parks.

Does this describe your business? I might be able to do it for you for free. Lots of systems I couldn't, but lots I could, and might know people who could. HMU or just post in these skies that you're looking for help getting rid of your Twitter icon or swapping it for a BlueSky or Mastodon one.
One of the things that really aggravates me about the way web development has become so complex is that thousands of everyday people and orgs have websites with Twitter icons/links built in -- and would have to PAY someone to remove that or add a Bluesky icon/link.

Ever wonder what snow in the swamp would look like? This is 5 miles into the Louisiana swamps in the Atchafalaya basin... it's unreal... having lived down there for the first 28 years of my life, we never saw anything like this.

Smashed records.

this cake is super good btw. it has gone by several names over the years and the recipe is very forgiving. give it a try
Because of the price of eggs, I give you the classic Great Depression-era recipe for Crazy Cake, both in the original chocolate and vanilla versions. No eggs, no milk, all deliciousness.

When a single billionaire can accumulate more money in 10 seconds than their employees make in one year, while workers struggle to meet the basic cost of rent and medicine, then yes, every billionaire really is a policy failure.

If you are feeling overwhelmed, I strongly recommend the livestream of the corpse flower at Sydney Botanic Gardens on YouTube. There are currently 1,500 people in chat waiting for a flower to open, and occasionally claiming that it definitely has moved this time.
