Christmas doesn't feel like it used to, partially because lights are too bright, the magical soft glow of the tree lights in a dimly lit room have been replaced by retina searing LEDs and super bright 4k TVs.

The best solution here would be to configure the Myki gates for both stations so they would know they are in one combined station/paid area, eg “State Library and Melbourne Central”. That would fix the issue properly.
