We stand now at the twilight, dark quickly creeping in. With it, comes the winter’s chill that dares to choke out what hope/joy remain. Despite the dark, no matter how much it creeps toward your door, or tries to drown you in despair- do not let it.

I feel like a stone along the shore. Battered by the waves, I keep holding on. Holding on as the wind whips, but despite that strength the wind and surf erodes.

I have lost much this year, and all I want is for some safe harbor from this storm of misfortune. Hope feels harder and harder to grasp.

There is nothing better than when my partner makes their version Cheddar Corn Chowder.
