In closing: Screw Fascism, racism, homophobia, and whatever tools they use to try and make us fear/hate our neighbors. Know that we may have gotten knocked down, but we’re still in this fight. And be a shoulder to lean on for our neighbors.

We look for the light, and we look for the light within ourselves. Know that yes a single candle can provide a light, but a sea of candles- can be like daylight. Remember to take care of yourselves, both mentally & physically. We will survive this together.

Tomorrow, and the days that come- we need to be strong. It will be hard, and at points-damn near impossible. Look for those who need us- and offer a hand. The only we get through this is together. We resist little by little, their despair, and their fear mongering

Despair is like quicksand, the more you struggle, the more it dares to drag you. Have they won? Yes. But in every war, there is many battles, and many tests. They have merely won but one. Mourn today, allow yourself to grieve- but tomorrow raise your chin.
