Day 12 of COVID and she’s still struggling— fatigue, hot showers just to wake up and walking her dog while actively sick. She’s missed shifts at her hospital job and is stressed about money and job security. She knows she’s still unwell but feels pressured to return, asking why she’s not recovering.

A Tyee investigation found that Calgary anesthesiologists are being scheduled by managers, in response to government directives, to work in for-profit chartered surgical facilities, sometimes against their will. #abpoli

And gov't, school boards, unions continue to look away😓

The British trade deal wasn't what they said it was, the Vietnamese are still yet to confirm Trump's announcement, and the Japanese say they're not signing a binding agreement. The White House has released the text of ZERO (0) deals, and maybe it's all just social media posts all the way down.
"Japanese officials said there was no written agreement with Washington — and no legally binding one would be drawn up", and surprise surprise, they deny giving Trump $550b to arbitrarily spend however he wants. www.ft.com/content/c118...

Sobering details on access to emergency care in Edmonton and northern Alberta. This government proves again and again that they can't be trusted to make informed, rational decisions about our healthcare system.
EDM Zone avg LWBS is actually 16% for ALL of its EDs and objectively getting worse.
Three of the ED's have LWBS numbers over 20%, and as overcrowding gets worse all of them could be over 1 in 4 leaving without care.

Why?🧵

Thank you Edm Zone MSA for this strong 💉support. I suggest a couple of edits- not referring to Covid as endemic-it isn’t, the virus continues to mutate. Covid isn’t similar to the flu- it literally infects every organ in the body and is 10-30X more deadly than flu. Appreciate the support!

@coreyhogan.ca this isn’t public health- this is an ongoing drive to privatized med- it will cost more and not improve the health of AB. We need the Fed Govt to stop this in its tracks
Health Canada won’t challenge Alberta’s plan to make almost everyone pay to get updated COVID vaccines 𝙖𝙣𝙙 greatly restrict access to the shots.

This probably paves the way for other provinces to follow suit, should they want to.

Here's the thing: separatist parties have emerged in the past and failed miserably.

Because real conservative parties starved them of oxygen. Not fanned their flames.
