A hugely-successful model that other countries could copy (even if it’s not the largest in the world as the headline claims).

Astonishingly, sea ice still hasn't started to reform over the Barents Sea area yet of the #Arctic. This includes record low conditions around Svalbard as well. It's been a very bad few months across the region.

5. So remember the fundamental adage: we can’t fix a problem with the same mindset that created it. Our systems of extraction, profiteering, dominance and entitlement - as though the planet is just a food pantry and get-rich-quick scheme for humanity, drove us to this point. We can change that.

In London Town on family business today.

Nobody stole my watch.

Nobody tried to stab me.

Everyone I met was polite.

My Tube carriages weren’t graffitied.

Great city; great people.

Maybe people should stop listening to suburban London doomers posting for X money from degenerate Musk?

Today's 70% fall in net migration to 205,000 was not one of the six stories in BBC ten o'clock news.

Ta massive assymetry in whether rises in immigration and falls in immigration are considered newsworthy by broadcasters

Down by 140k isn't thought to be.

Up by 140k undoubtedly would be.

Great thread shouting out to the volunteer and NGO groups like Greenpeace and their vital role in telling the story of whaling to the masses.

Public pressure led to the ban, and that led to stopping the decline of whales across the globe.

This new reconstruction of global whale biomass shows that countries can successfully tackle environmental problems when they come together

But it's a story with an under-recognised hero
