Given the literal definition of deportation is removing a foreigner or noncitizen from the country, we - journalists, media orgs - should probably all stop referring to the ‘deportation’ of a 2 year old US citizen. It’s NOT a deportation.

My guess is that the Trump admin will create a special task force to work with other nations to smooth the visa process for the Olympics and World Cup. The question then will be whether those other countries will cooperate with this, or use it as leverage with the US, or just refuse to play ball.
