Okay I cheated and asked Chat GPT to balance it. Elemental Nitrogen is N2, not N4. That’s why this equation is both incorrect and well on its way to funkytown. And I don’t mean rhythm.

According to AI, the balanced equation would look like this:

2 N₂ + O₂ → 2 N₂O

What are we losing by offloading our thinking to A.I.?
Why Even Try if You Have A.I.?
As A.I. grows more powerful, we may be more and more tempted to give up in advance and let it figure out things for us. What will we lose as a result?

No one in America should risk being killed for exercising their right to speak, no matter how despicable you think their views might be.

This afternoon in TIME MAGAZINE, @mariannecooper.bsky.social and I discuss why 300,000 Black women leaving the workforce is bad for the economy, bad for society, and bad for you.

In the piece, we argue that Black women are the canaries in the coalmine and why ignoring #TheDoubleTax harms us all.
Rising Unemployment Among Black Women Is a Bad Economic Sign
"Black women are the canary in the coal mine on the health of the economy," write Cooper and Opoku-Agyeman.

Will ICE send guys to Boston looking for red hair and listening for brogues? Or stake out delis in Chicago to see who buys a kielbasa?
No. This is about profiling people by skin color and language.

Am I angry about the SCOTUS decision today that basically lets ICE ask for your papers like goons in a police state? You bet I am:
