When the election is long past and you still don't know who your councillor is, please remember it's because Danielle Smith's base doesn't like electronic vote tabulators (which are accurate, have been used for decades, and saved time and money).

Alberta municipalities are in for a long night — and in many cases, days — to complete the more complicated process of counting every ballot on election day by hand, rather than machine.

Wondering why voter turnout is so low in this year's Alberta municipal elections?

It's by design: the UCP wanted to pick its voters. 👇

Will the voter suppression work electorally in their favour?

Almost $150M. That’s how much Albertans are on the hook for because this UCP government keeps flip-flopping on their coal policy. And that’s just to settle one lawsuit!

Early by-election results thoughts so far:

-NDP holding Strathcona with same huge vote as Notley got in 2023
-UCP underperforming in Ellerslie compared to 2023. They were expecting this race to be much closer.
-Republican vote does not match their bluster in Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills.

The UCP are no longer the party of Peter Lougheed or Ralph Klein. They are extreme, and Albertans are starting to see it.

If you're looking for a party that respects your dignity, the Alberta NDP is here for you.
