#NZ From five days ago; picking this up late -
Maori scholar, Makereti Papakura writing at her desk c.1910. The room is decorated with a mix of Maori & European mementoes whilst the rafters are painted with traditional kowhaiwhai patterns. Makereti will be awarded a posthumous degree in Oxford tomorrow, almost a century after she died in 1930.

Found aphids on my sage today. Blasted them off with some water and then picked off what was still there.
Hopefully got to it early enough, but will be keeping an eye out.

First hundreds of Māori found themselves kicked off the electoral roll, now many candidates from multiple electorates are being left off Māori ward candidate booklets. This is very hurtful and the PM and government should speak up, investigate, and rectify this situation ASAP. #nzpol #kiwi
