Using the CODA workflow, we mapped a billion individual cells in 3D.

Another new policy from the geniuses in NIH leadership.

Apparently, ~70% of grant applications for most mechanisms will not be "triaged", i.e. not discussed at study section.

This is an increase from the ~50% level that has been in place for many years.

I don't know the rationale for this

NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

Tax the rich. Greg Ryan in @bloomberg.com:

If they send the money out $2k at a time to 100s of millions of people, it will be that much harder for the Supreme Court to rule the tariffs unconstitutional because it would be impossible to claw the money back. So heads trump is emperor, tails there’s no consequences when he does illegal stuff.
Trump: "We're gonna issue a dividend to our middle income people and lower income people of about $2,000, and we're gonna use the remaining tariffs to lower our debt."

MIKE JOHNSON: Ah -- no. I'm not promising anyone anything.

One of my favorite things about the Mamdani sign style meme is how few people posting them have any interaction with the fact they are clearly a callback to NYCHA signage.

I had to double-check that I hadn’t fever-dreamed Cuomo buying a white Ford Bronco a long time ago.

He’s had over 10 years to realize the bad optics of driving this thing around, but instead rolls it out in the closing hours before Election Day.

And parks in a bike lane, as a cherry on top.

Just hit 4K miles on the family cargo bike while taking the kids to school this am. This thing has been one of the biggest parental level-ups we’ve discovered. It’s made the commute something the kids look forward to, and has cut my commute (which was not bad to start) in half.
