I, a naif, figure that killing off the CIA world factbook would be such a monumentally stupid and pointless move that reports of its demise must be false;
No-one could possibly make such a catastrophic blunder.

Silly me, forgetting who the president is!
Was anyone gonna tell me the CIA World Factbook got nuked or was I just supposed to find that out myself while doing research

This was me exactly.
When I meet The Master and he doesn't tell me his entire backstory, character motivations, plans for success, and 5 trivia facts about himself and requires a skillcheck to engage in additional origins dialogue so I enter my HBomberguy rage and lowkirkenuinely swiss cheese him

A great Bluesky find.
Question for @justinbaragona.bsky.social
Was there a methodology for balancing based off of semantics?

For example, if women in general use longer sentence structure w/ more clauses, that alone could account for a greater propensity to cut women off mid-sentance.
Here’s what they found:

Women are interrupted more often than men—by about 10–20% in economics seminars.

Those interruptions are more likely to:
- Cut women off mid-sentence
- Come from men
- Be adversarial rather than clarifying in nature

Technical interviews continue to loose grip on reality.
Already we are dearly close to the future: where not a single hiring process hires anyone.

Its wild to see someone radicalizing himself live. He's not paid, its pure audience capture. Only tankies/Tuckerites give him attention so he morphs ever more to fit these circles. Which lead to mainstream academic/public isolation

As a real person with some amount of public speaking skills who talks about real things he cares about, I assure you it's actually pretty hard to "speak like a real person" because what you're talking about isn't that.

I kind of expect that posting follows a power curve, not a bell curve.

Anyone whose posts you see will post more than 95% of bluesky uses. Probably something like 75% of users never post.

Ever be blessed by one of the posting muses, only to have to abandon such a Magnus opus 'cuz the posting muse in question is the muse of trolling?

It's a bummer.

1. Sudo apt install what I think is wxwidgets.
2. Wait 10 or so minutes as my computer grabs a bajillion megabytes of possibly Wxwidget-related stuff.
3. Try to run the Wxwidgets hello world.
4. It fails to recognize the wx.h.

A flaw with the blocking functionality:
I can kill the man, but not the idea.

How many times have I seen
"At long last, we have created the XYZ from classic MEDIUM Don't Create XYZ."?

On any vaguely negative tech-related topic, this canned phrase will eventually be skeeted.

No, don't ask how It's possible:
I do it because I believe.

I don't bring my mouse to the Loo, because then I might drop it in the toilet-water. #OSHAViolation
