Politics, history. Europe, MENA.
People will never get how much all this draws from the online Assadist sphere from 2010's
People ignore how much this is led by admin sclerosis and 4chan R interns wanting to brag to their chat buddies in Europe that they are gonna save them from the globalist filth

Much of all public online nature of this admin is that all interns are Nazi /pol/ posters
The headline, the main takeaway from a European viewpoint is this:

The transatlantic relationship as we know it is over. Yes, we kinda knew this. But this is now official US White House policy. Not a sppech, not a statement. The West as it used to be no longer exists.

The funniest bit on that document on Europe is how internationalist it is.

"The goal is to spread the movement comrades. We're sending Radek (Bannon) to organize the comrades in Germany"

The Alawites are spent and Sunni Assadists disappeared as Shia Baathists in Iraq did
DAMASCUS - Former loyalists to Bashar al-Assad who fled Syria after the dictator’s fall are funneling millions of dollars to tens of thousands of potential fighters, hoping to stir uprisings against the new government and reclaim some of their lost influence

Assad's exiled spy chief and billionaire cousin plot Syrian uprisings from Russia
From exile in Moscow, ex-intel chief Kamal Hassan and Assad cousin Rami Makhlouf are spending millions in competing efforts to build fighting forces to lead a revolt along Syria’s coast. The governmen...

I think this local vote will partial reinforce status quo wisdoms that at local level people don't care of ideology or parties but vote "the (wo)man"
When these two, the boomerest right wingers imaginable, go on tv and say they'd vote for Ciceala-SENS, a party who has a "ministry for gender issues" you know she broke her bubble

It really helps she's a local who lives in Bucharest and not like Drula parachuted from outside you know

Prediction note on partial Romanian local elections this Sunday:

-Ciucu (PNL) wins Bucharest mayor
-Alexandrescu (ind-AUR) gets 3rd but under 20-22%
-Leftist-Green Ciceala (SENS) breaks containment and finishes 4th above Drula (USR) and his disastrous campaign

When I read this I remember that Bannon emailed Epstein thinking the EU parliament rules Europe and its where they must infiltrate
The new US National Security Strategy says explicitly, that the US should intervene in European domestic policy. It is difficult to interpret "Cultivating resistance to Europe’s current trajectory within European nations." otherwise in the context of everything else this government says and does.

The illegality is solely of their own making bcs Trump does not care of democracy and the admin/base believes colour revolutions are neocons Jewish Soros conspiracies

They can't argue *for* democracy and against autocracy internally so Rubio invents cartels
It's also clearly illegal, there is little good pretext for it, we don't even have a recognized alt president this time like we had. It's very shoddy, even if in principle, something kinda should be done. Doesn't inspire much confidence the military planning is any better then.

Its genuinely depraved though how all enablers don't see the carcass Cuba has become. Worse outmigration and econ collapse than any east euro state in 90's under much maligned satanic 'shock therapy' (there wasn't any really)

Its done in 5-10 years Rubio or not imo
Bigger issue is i think many get it that for Rubio, the true architect of this, Caracas is a side show of the true goal in Havana. Which in all likelihood he sees in messianic ways (why he endures the daily humiliation imho)

Its funny that Trump ending Maduro is kinda like Tsipras biting the bullet on Macedonia name dispute

Everyone realizes it has to be done (Biden tried the peaceful amnesty way!), that the memes went on long enough but nobody wants to handle the fallout. May as well have the unpopular dying gov do it

The harsher truth is Trump has no ideology here, unlike Vance and co, and his views are kinda more in line with the general dimwit's view of war

Trump has no strategy, he thinks in these terms "War's dumb. Just don't do it and do business. Give me Nobel"
From Armenia to Palestine to Ukraine to Congo the Trump peace formula is just “solidify the aggressors gains and berate the weaker party into compliance” with nothing to prevent the aggressor restarting hostilities later.
US President Donald Trump will meet the leaders of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Washington.

Inflation is genuinely long term traumatizing. Keep arguing with dad not spend all money on stuff (phones, laptops, IT stuff...etc) but he is still is traumatized by 90's hyperinflation and believes savings are worthless

Still remembers when a cars price doubled over night

Stuck in Anno forums for a few days arguing the natural next setting of the series is Tokugawa>Meiji Japan even if its cliche by now

People, even in RO, never get how much the nation is a French larp in its construction. 1800's elites who built it were Sorbonne grads or Paris going Bourgeois

Even the name is basically from French in reality. Napoleon 3 advising ambassadors it'd be cool if it'd be called Roumanie
Trying to decide if Napoleonic Europe should have an independent Romania or not.

"Do foreign workers have a positive or negative impact on life in Bucharest?"

Overall a decent plurality says "yes", followed by "neither" and only then "no". But more fascinating is breakdown by candidate vote. A plurality of the "far-right" candidate, Alexandrescu, say "yes"

Fascinating Christmas market experience in the rural palatinate last night:
Elderly Syrian man is operating a stall registered from Damascus selling sweets and carpets, but for the 15 minutes I was around all he would talk about to customers was how amazing the fall of the regime felt to him

Commemorating these 2 weeks the victory of the Syrian revolution by playing some of the old revolutionary songs and protests and looking at it from early 2011 onwards i'm hit a bit by how impactful the flag change was symbolically

Would the fall of the Baath have had the same impact without it?

Criticism of Kallas ignores that China/RU relations moved to Commission/Council and she got put there to reassure member states in the east (and future members like UA/MD) that they are not abandoned and are at the decision table and matter

If you live in an environment were AI is used mainly in your circles to code, do sheets or excel, then you should unironically check your privileges
The anti-anti-AI discourse ignores the strongest social driver historically. The social stigma of a product associated with the lowest rungs of society

"Anti-tech"?. "anti-innovation"?. Mate I hate it because the fat van driver keeps showing me fake baby AI vids at work between his hooker stories

Romanians are the sons of Rome. The blood of Trajan is in our veins. Our brothers, our sisters, our cousins are hair gelled grifters in the slums of Napoli. The Eternal Mafiosi of Calabria and Sicily

So why tf are we obsessed with PhD/CV minutia like we are Germanics loons from the Rhine?

All of this gets vastly worse politically if you remember all that holds Turkey's tfr at these levels is a vastly higher birthrate in Kurdish south east

Funny bcs i remember all Euro hysteria of being replaced by Turks

Jokes but the cowardice of the movies to embrace its Islamic motives is deeply sad. It robs it of imho a core element
Big speech where Paul compares himself to Hitler or go home.
‘DUNE: PART 3’ has wrapped filming.

Cremieux is basically part of every elite circle imaginary. From tech loons, to journo circles to data people like Shor
Thinking about how when a neo-nazi hacked Colombia and released Zohran Mamdani's application the NYT covered it as a major scandal sourced from "Colombia" and yet they were seemingly regularly receiving offers of incriminating evidence on Trump and refusing to publish it.
