Guy says "you can totally run a murder mystery in D&D!" and then when asked how, they describe a freeform improv roleplay session where they occasionally randomly sat down to fight some monsters in empty square rooms (the only thing you actually do in D&D 5e) between events

It's very powerful, especially at lower levels, and ESPECIALLY without automatic rune progression/bonus progression
Runic Weapon/Body was hard to recommend in #pathfinder2e before the Remaster made it scale when cast at higher ranks. It was good but for casters with a limited amount of spells they can know it was hard to recommend something that became useless by lv5 if not sooner. Now though?

I have never agreed with the negativity some people have towards "being a cheerleader" as a caster. Maybe that's because when I taught my group the game I established a habit of pointing out when a + or - caused a hit/crit. My table always gives teamwork its flowers.

I've always held that any career (but specifically those within the arts) can be subject to crazy multipliers based on luck.
In TTRPG terms, hard work determines the size of the die, but luck determines the number of dice. 1d20 is all well and good, but it can't ever beat 20d4.

I've pondered doing a Mystery Bus style roaming campaign when I'm done with Masks of Nyarlathotep
I'm reading through the Call of Cthulhu Keepers Handbook and suddenly the idea for a game where you all play as 1930s era Chicago mobsters came to mind. I bet that would be a lot of fun for the players!

Very easy with GMCore and Monster Core etc too!
The fact I can throw together a balanced combat encounter in #pathfinder2e in less than 10 minutes that will not accidentally cause a TPK, is a testament to both the quality of the rules, and how easy tools like AoN are to navigate.
