'Flying Tiger'

A female Danaus chrysippus. Common names are Plain Tiger, African Monarch, or Sultan, depending on where you are in the world. That hints at the how widespread a species it is.

1/2 The next 4-5 days/nights should be the most productive spell for North African migrants that we've seen so far this year (not difficult, I know!!!). Tuesday and Wednesday in particular look very interesting. [NB, any resemblance to male appendages in the charts is purely coincidental] #teammoth

So much for "boosting growth".
All this vandalism will do is leave us with devastated ecosystems, fewer green spaces, worse quality of life, while neither solving the housing crisis (because the problem IS NOT AND NEVER WAS "bats and newts") nor creating "growth".

Pesticide cocktails can be highly damaging to insects and other wildlife. It’s truly shocking that they are still so widely used in a manner which contaminates people, the countryside and wildlife @savebutterflies.bsky.social @bc-hertsmiddx.bsky.social
This might also explain the slow and steady decline of common insects. I am sure they cannot avoid these pesticides either and low levels could disrupt behaviour or reduce survival rates www.theguardian.com/environment/...
