Mega genius software engineer by day, Independent bishop by lunch, game developer and miniature painting nerd by night.

He/Him or They/Them. Both good
What would be nice is if I was less aware of my blood pumping through my brain. Who would opt for this feature?

All well and good but I've got a lot of partridges, packing tape and pear saplings arriving in 10-15 working days and they have to go *somewhere*
The 12 Days of Christmas “advent calendars” piss me off.

Advent marks the fourth Sunday before Christmas until, well, Christmas. Modern calendars go from Dec 1 to the 24th.

The twelve days refer to Dec 25 to Jan 6.

These are different timespans!

Someone somewhere upwind from me in clondalkin is burning some nasty shit all day and entirely coincidentally I'm sure I have a headache and sore throat now.

A few hours ago I was rummaging for a fresh lightbulb for the bathroom and my wife asked me what I was looking for so I said "a new bulb for the bathroom, the old one is weird and dim now" and she said it was like mood lighting. Anyway, here's my amazon suggestions now.

An infinitesimally tiny impact in the scheme of things I know but it's a lifetime boycott for everyone on the slate of this monstrosity.

There is/was a little gaming store on Lord Earl St in Dublin that I visited many times before the pandemic. Sometimes during lunch at work I'd hop on a bus, hit up Games Workshop, Gamers World and if I had time take a detour to see what they had going on.

This is really shaping up to be the first presidential election in my voting lifetime when there's no candidate I'm genuinely excited to vote for.
Several of this year’s Áras hopefuls have voiced their frustration over how difficult it is to get on the ballot by way of local authority nominations.

So, tell us what you think – is it too difficult to get on the presidential ballot?

Is it too difficult to get on the presidential ballot?
With many parties backing their own candidates, just three councils have so far endorsed anyone in this year’s presidential race.

I don't think it's accurate to frame Charlie Kirk being shot as 'political violence' to be honest. It wasn't 'political violence' when nazis tried to kill Hitler at a nazi rally and the world Kirk is actively creating is in the process of killing tens of thousands worldwide.

I am looking to chat with people who have been disparagingly featured in Zack “Asmongold” Hoyt’s content.

I would like to see how this affected you, especially if you can provide ample receipts and clear timelines. Please signal boost this anywhere you’d like, as I’m not on Twitter anymore.

Data centers should be permitted only if they commit to substantial investment in green and renewable energy infrastructure. They must generate a defined percentage of their annual power consumption from the outset, with a clear trajectory toward producing a net surplus of renewable energy.

Irish artists/ supporters of the arts, please check out and fill in this short survey. The Gript/ far right dudes are already sharing it on X and I'd be worried it'll get brigaded.

If we want it to be retained and expanded we gotta drown them out.
Would you like to contribute to the public consultation about the Basic Income for the Arts? 💡

Look, it was the 80s. We hadn't discovered context or foreshadowing yet. A scant century had passed since Chekov had talked about guns and we were grasping at the idea of narrative consequences. Things could just.....sort of happen because they needed to.
