After CMMC in Lewiston rescinded its status as a trauma center, Maine now has only *two* such facilities remaining.
That’s a huge problem. Especially in a rural state like ours.
It’s also a flashing red light for our health care system. Hospitals and other providers are being pushed to the brink.

Maine is down another trauma center. What does that mean?
There were 3 trauma centers in Maine before a Lewiston hospital decided not to recertify in December.
