"The Fair Unknown" a short Arthurian Visual novel about queer generation gaps, toxic relationships, self-destruction, and the many faults of being a sword. Coming soon.
"You make a fool of death with your beauty."

i love how poetry is (all at once) overthinking and overfeeling and overlanguaging

The interesting thing about the Harry Potter books is that it was a series that wasn't afraid to grow up with its readers. This is in stark contrast to the afterlife the series has as anodyne corporate comfort food for stunted millennials, now with bonus transphobia.

I think my version of Lancelot could be best described as: "Tart Grapefruit and Chicago's very own Malort are combined to make this one of a kind pie."

listen. "The sun rises. It is always doing that." is not bad writing. but it's like... pronking. this sort of line is a display of fitness which must be backed up by good writing fundamentals elsewhere or else you will simply be eaten by lions

John Woo...you watch something like A BETTER TOMORROW or THE KILLER and realize he is a poet...

You watch A BETTER TOMORROW II and HARD BOILED and you realize he's a fucking lunatic.

But then you realize perhaps they're the same thing.

I think people really don't appreciate how remarkable it is that the games industry releases hundreds of video games every year when you consider that not one person on earth knows how to make a video game

I can't explain it, but this took me like half a day of work.

Playing around with the UI tonight. I don't know if it's final, awesome how this finally feels more mine, all at once.

There's a joke in here somewhere about the time that I'm spending wrestling Python and how it may or may not qualify me to be a doctor of VNs...

Watched John Woo's "A Bullet In The Head" this morning, and let me tell you: I don't think I've ever used the word "harrowing" quite so much.

Finally back to getting this scene to work again. I'm not thrilled with the figure in blue, but this particular pose for the figure in red is one of my favorites in the whole project.

"A Better Tomorrow" both is and isn't exactly what I expected from having only seen Hard-Boiled and Face Off. What a neat movie.

What I love about @caseyplett.com 's work is that I think she's a genius of what to leave out of stories. There's a timeskip in "Hazel and Christopher" where we're just dropped into the life of somebody ten years later, and btw, she's just picked up a history of sex work and alcohol...

One of my girlfriends and I were discussing the meaning of "dignity" the other night. And, well, here's a start:
If nothing else comes out of the backlash to Trumpism, let it be a renewed commitment to small-r republicanism. This should be embarrassing. It should be shameful. You are a free citizen of a free republic, act like one for God's sake.
Something that’s so striking in these emails is how…unimpressive Epstein is. He comes off as a pompous, sub-literate lech. Yes everyone is so mortifyingly solicitous of him! All fawning and flattery! Why?????

As has been the case for many nights this month, I am lying awake panicking at the concept of Complex Betrayals. It would be reasonable to say that I'm in the right state of mind for toxic yuri.

Was thinking about what I find resonate about Christine Love's body of work. I think a lot of it comes down to willingness to let an audience be uncomfortable? Then I wondered if I was making that up. I don't think I'm making that up.
I wrote a book called Star Sword Nemesis! It was fun working in pure prose instead of games writing—you don't have to worry about "would this be too expensive?", it's got some twists you can't do in a game narrative, and Eris was a really fun unconventional action heroine to get in the head of!
