Another regular reminder that the current government has a huge FPTP majority which they could use to improve the representativeness of our voting system, along the lines of the NI Assembly, Senedd or Holyrood
📊 Ipsos poll suggests Reform landslide:

The Green Party alongside campaigners have been calling for this - and it's good to see maybe they've finally listened.

We need to be worried about this. 1st some countries (Saudi Arabia) refused to welcome the 1.5 report, now they (and others) are flat out refusing to set a date for when the AR7 can be approved. Heads in the sand sort of decision-making on climate change is not just foolish it is evil necropolitics.

Fully repealing the two-child limit on benefits is by far the best way to ensure fewer children grow up in poverty.

Half measures have been mooted – from moving to a three-child limit to exempting working families – but they would all still lead to an increase in child poverty ⤵️ buff.ly/qVc9CWs

The people of Bradford seemed genuinely angry with Matt Goodwin over his incessant attempts to promote a divisive, anti-immigration agenda on #bbcqt

Goodwin, who's no longer an academic, should definitely have been described as an "anti-immigration activist" on the pre-publicity material.
My goodness Matt Goodwin comes across as an obnoxious hateful one-trick pony. Glad much of the #bbcqt audience saw through his schtick and agree.

I wanted to offer some thoughts on the Gates climate memo that has been circulating this week. While I can't directly speak for others, I can say that my own response is one of dismay & deep frustration (and that this view is shared by many climate/Earth scientists). [1/n]
