My favorite way to eat burrata (butterflied!) and a favorite thing to put on top of it, a mixture of grilled and fresh sugar snaps, finished with lemony crumbs, mint, and as much chile heat as your heart desires. Thanks @lallimusic for the inspiration!

kind of just endlessly sad and grieving that there are so few voices in the public sphere making the basic principled argument that immigration is an affirmative good in every way and the best way for this country to serve humanity is to welcome people who want or need to leave their homes

Two years ago today the roadrunner that we had been feeding (and still are) found his way into our house.

dinner yesterday with a friend: shared fantastic chicken dumplings and one singular noodle stir-fried with tomato and egg.
not really but the noodles were comically long and we had to keep tearing them off. i would be surprised if there were more than five separate noodles in that bowl.

alright, i'm asking in seriousness. do folks know what lynching is? do folks know the *legal* issues with lynching? it's actually more complicated than you think, and i'm not a legal scholar so i don't want to step out of my lane--BUT I'VE READ BOOKS.

today’s snack: scallion-pancake-flavor potato chips. similar to pringles texture (this is a good thing). oddly chickeny, likely because they use the same artificial flavors in chicken bouillon cubes, or something like that.
definitely scalliony though.
