Black and white photo of a gorgeous middle aged white woman in a glamorous beaded hat that looks sort of like a turban and garment richly decorated in tiny stars. She is holding up two very fluffy longhaired cats, pressing one to each cheek so she is fairly enveloped in their floof. The cats are tabbies and appear to be orange, the one on the right a little lighter than the left. Neither cat looks thrilled but they both seemed resigned like this happens a lot and they've come to accept it.

Today is the Midwinter solstice. The still dark point of the year as the earth shifts in her slumber and we welcome in The Lightbringers, the bearers of Spring, to begin their journey to return the light to us.
