On Saturday, about 120 people in Bellingham gathered supplies for the Bellingham Food Bank by bicycle during a Cranksgiving event. Each rider had to shop in at least four grocery stores. Organizers with Walk and Roll Bellingham said $7,800 in goods were collected after tallying receipts.

Our maintenance crews are getting SR 11/Chuckanut Drive ready for winter by clearing leaves, rocks and tree debris from the road and ditches.

Expect alternating traffic between Blanchard Dr and the Skagit/Whatcom county line until about 3p today near Bow as this work wraps up.
