First, the regime said it would bar transgendered citizens from firearms ownership. This week, I learned that for the last 4+ years, the FBI has been spying on socialists who own or train with firearms. My latest, out today.
In the FBI's Crosshairs: the Socialist Rifle Association
The fact that Trump’s FBI is still actively investigating a politically disfavored group that supports Second Amendment rights takes this constitutional threat to the next level.

It's so interesting that in the name of practicality we are urged to avoid any practical action; in the name of redemption we are urged to exonerate people who have shown no interest in redemption; in the name of civility we are urged to overlook the cruelty of those who scorn all civility

Mamdani's opponents have been so ostentatiously, unnecessarily loathsome that they have succeeded in making me much, much more sympathetic to him than I otherwise would be, and I can't be the only one in that boat.
Boy Mamdani's race is really a vivid reminder that anti-Islamic bigotry is 100% accepted in US public discourse. People don't even bother dog whistling, it's just right out in the open.

this is an obvious overcorrection that misleads the polling data and will lead to disaster in the Heartland. the results of tonight show that the Democrats should moderate: adopting two or at most three of the five pillars of Islam
if democrats are serious about winning they need to learn from tonight and convert to islam

Not gonna link the troll but Bari Weiss clearly represents “thought police” more than 100,000 Bluesky leftists scolding you for writing a defense of Weiss ever will, and ignoring that reality is clearly designed to curry the favor of thought police. You’re not a free thinker, you’re the boot licker.

I don't think it would be possible to overstate Blake's influence on the DNA revolution in criminal justice and the exonerations that followed. He genuinely changed the world for the better.

Rest in peace.

Or perhaps what they want is to redefine the middle; to pick up the center pole and move it so that the center now includes not more people but different ones; people with whom these pole-movers feel they have more in common, towards whom they are less comfortable being impolite about atrocities.

Apparently she can only read headlines, but not the actual graph with the data.

The right talks about loneliness, family, and meaning, winning over people the liberty movement often ignores. Can radical liberalism offer better, freer answers to these deep social questions? My conversation with @cathyreisenwitz.com explores this.

Our problem is less that we have a Republican Congress, it's that for all intents and purposes we don't have a Congress at all. All of its powers have been eviscerated. Power of the purse, to make laws, oversight, impeachment. An impotent GOP Congress and an impotent Dem Congress are both impotent.
