The upshot of Trump's cognitive decline and entirely rotten information environment is that he's ruling a country that exists only in his head. And in that country, everyone always wants more of what he's doing. Unfortunately, his goons are then carrying that out in the country that does exist. /end

Saying there must be trials isn't just an emotive aspiration.

Congress can:
- Create a new court (complying w/ 6A jury vicinage)
- Give it jurisdiction over defined category of crimes
- Also create dedicated prosecutors for the same
- Strip SCOTUS of appellate jurisdiction

It can be done.

More and more people are saying that the center-left political elite has its own omnicause reactionism problem centered around personal grievances against pro-Palestine students and transgender people.
the atlantic has been like this for a long time but man, it really blows that the flagship publication for american liberalism has abandoned *liberalism* wholesale because of trans athletes and woke student governments
International law no longer serves as an instrument of global stability—and the U.S. should use this moment to argue for a different approach to the rules of war, John Yoo argues.

The reactionary centrist logic is simple: if the left does something bad it’s the left’s fault, and if the right does something bad, it’s also the left’s fault for making them do it. It’s a simple formula and once you see it every one of their arguments is the same

First, the regime said it would bar transgendered citizens from firearms ownership. This week, I learned that for the last 4+ years, the FBI has been spying on socialists who own or train with firearms. My latest, out today.
In the FBI's Crosshairs: the Socialist Rifle Association
The fact that Trump’s FBI is still actively investigating a politically disfavored group that supports Second Amendment rights takes this constitutional threat to the next level.

Mamdani's opponents have been so ostentatiously, unnecessarily loathsome that they have succeeded in making me much, much more sympathetic to him than I otherwise would be, and I can't be the only one in that boat.
Boy Mamdani's race is really a vivid reminder that anti-Islamic bigotry is 100% accepted in US public discourse. People don't even bother dog whistling, it's just right out in the open.

if democrats are serious about winning they need to learn from tonight and convert to islam
