Sometimes there's an important piece of analysis in the maelstrom of sound bites into which a democracy dissolves.
JB Pritzker and Gavin Newsom are doing something new and important: They understand Stephen Miller's theory of fascist power politics, and they've developed a theory on how to combat it. More Dems need to reckon with Miller's understanding of the moment.

I think I'll spend the day reposting other people posting this report from AP of children screaming as they die of hunger because the South African gazillionaire destroyed USAID. (Certainly, the movement towards martial law at home and the associated chicken videos are also important.)

The current Administration has done zero impact analysis to estimate the effects of its obliteration of USAID on deaths around the world.

It just keeps saying "no one has died" as a mesmeric incantation.
