Circling back to this, because I'm STILL riled up
This (and every) dumbed down, sugarcoated adaptation was NEVER made "for kids". It was made to coddle and placate sensitive, reactionary, misperceptive adults who are too dumb and afraid to think critically or feel deeply about the world around them

People who argue "who cares it's just for kids" all I can say is fuck right off. Kids deserve thoughtful, well-made movies that challenge them just as much as adults do. Kids aren't stupid, and they remember how movies affect them basically forever.

I’m gonna be honest, it bothers me that my fat fat cat who sleeps 18-24 hours a day and isn’t even conceptually aware of the very idea of exercise is still like 100 times more athletic than I am. Like I’m happy for him and everything but also at some level I hope he knows he doesn’t deserve it
