I get it's a good day for people who hate the BBC but cooing over the President saying your news outlet is good is ... a bit lame?

[Bosses resigning at BBC] When exactly did that become proof that Trump was right?
Well, there are always transcripts. And full video thanks to NPR.
I recommend the transcript (no audio) for reasons.
23 matches ctrl F for [fight], including when attendees are quoted.

Final point. This is really bad, obviously, but I cannot imagine it is worse than the Jimmy Savile scandal.

I am not a lawyer, just a historian, but one fundamental problem with the political debate about the EU, especially in English publications is that the whole principle of the acquis communnitaire is not understood or taken seriously. The EU is a framework of rules, not an alliance.

Less serious point, though I suspect true: if the BBC did fall apart, the Mail, Telegraph, Express and others would be absolutely miserable within about a month.

More serious point. The journalists jumping up and down celebrating a body blow for the BBC and salivating at the idea it might all be over … among some of them are people who came out against Leveson, didn’t think NOTW should be shut down. Plurality in media is a good thing, including state-funded.

I have been informed the now show is already over! Hurrah!
If the BBC really is on its way out then we need to look at the positive. No more Now show or endless period sodding dramas.

Anyone who has known Jens Stoltenberg in any capacity will agree that, yes, he would have found this "extremely painful". In his role as Sec Gen of NATO, Stoltenberg did everything (and more) to garner support amongst NATO members for Ukraine. Stoltenberg was/is a stand-up give-a-damn guy.
⚡ Former NATO Chief Stolteberg says not closing the sky over Ukraine in 2022 was "extremely painful," according to The Times.

Hard not to find that funny as an Arsenal fan.
Spurs striker rips his top off after thinking he’s scored the winner (via an accidental header) only to have the keeper score an own goal minutes later, giving Man U an equaliser
