Trump needs more diversity in his top team. Some non-idiots would be a start.

And we should be very careful what intel we share with the US as it would likely get shared with Russia.
Donald Trump has banned UK from sharing US military intelligence with Ukraine.

US troops, weapons, listening posts are in the UK, but the govt can't share intelligence with allies.

Can't recall the UK holding a referendum to become the 51st state.

As we leave winter and enter spring, this is the first day of the year where I'm producing more solar than we can use. I'm an energy producer! 😎

In reality the US has only given $30 billion to Ukraine, the monetary worth of the weapons and nukes Ukraine gave up based on the legal agreement that the US would protect it from aggression is nearly $50 billion. The US failed abide the agreement and owes Ukraine money, not the other way around.

It was inevitable once the links between her aunt's disgraced Bangladesh government and the multi-million pound houses she was 'gifted' were revealed.

Awed by the audacity of heading a department for anti-corruption with that in her background.

Lived in Calgary 2010 to 2015. Miss the fantastic Rockies.
The Canadian Wilderness in the Rocky Mountains is incredibly beautiful. This is a sunset at Vermillion Lakes in Banff National Park.

Not sure about this. Need for adaptation is forced by lack of abatement action.

Some adaptations will be:
Massively costly (flood & wildfire defence)
Unaffordable to the affected (farmers where their land becomes too water-poor to farm).
Impossible - how do the Maldives adapt to being underwater?
We reduce emissions to reduce long-term damage from climate change.

We adapt to reduce near-term damage from climate change.

New open access paper discussing how emissions mitigation and climate adaptation are complementary approaches to reducing climate damage:

Love a book recommendation. Just went and bought it to store up (in Kobo) for a good read later. Thanks!
for the first time ever, I’m on my fourth straight novel by the same author. Haig has a gift for dazzling storytelling. by turns illuminating and provocative, he leads us to extraordinary inquiry into the mysteries of life.

Excellent potted history by Robert of the rise of China as an industrial powerhouse. The scale of their jump into renewable energy projects is also breathtaking.

Well done. Hope you make the definitive move and delete your X account. I did!

I'm hoping it's not inevitable that all online sharing platforms gradually devolve to a hate fuelled shouting match. It's incumbent on us all to keep dialogue respectful on this platform.
