Imagine you are Jay Powell right now. You were about to get a softish landing and cement your legacy as one of the greatest central bankers if not civil servants of all time. Then out of nowhere some lunatic sets the economy on fire and you are fighting another crisis.

So today, when the Foreign Relations Committee considered a resolution to condemn China's assault on democracy in Hong Kong, I filed an amendment to rewrite the whole thing.

Adams must be removed. The city cannot sustain being governed for nearly a year by a Mayor who is being coerced by Trump admin in order to escape charges.

This corruption poses a real threat to the people of the city. He should have resigned a while ago, but will not. So it’s time for him to go.

This is dangerous and un-American. It's clear that Donald Trump wants to eliminate constitutional checks and balances and give himself sole power over our government.

Republicans in Congress must start standing up for constitutional checks and balances and stop this madness.

This is an attack on public education. Trump is funneling taxpayer dollars from public schools to private schools, many of which have lower standards & worse student outcomes. This will hurt students & further overburden public school teachers.

Trump’s unprecedented decision to suspend ALL federal grants, loans, & other financial aid will have a devastating impact on EVERY community across the country.

Congress has the power of the purse. This blatantly unconstitutional order should not stand.
