EXCLUSIVE: One Saturday afternoon in October, my phone lit up with a notification.

I glanced down at the message.

“Anna, Lindsey Halligan here,” it began.

So began my text exchange with the woman who is prosecuting the president's perceived political enemies.

God's saving of Donald Trump, but refusing to save Charlie Kirk from an assassin's bullet shows that Kirk wasn't MAGA enough.

Hey @wsj.com, you owe us an apology. Your sloppy reporting falsely labeled the shooter as trans. You were wrong. This was lazy journalism, and our community deserves better than lies that put us at risk.

Every WSJ journalist and other journalist who pushed the lie that the shooter was pushing "transgender ideology" is as bad as journalists who pushed anti-Jewish libel in Nazi Germany.

Nazis are openly calling for violence against trans people under the assumption the shooter was trans.

“Kirk & I were on different sides of most political arguments. We were on the same side of the continued possibility of American politics.”

So it’s personal? B/c if you were a Black woman or transgender, Kirk would not imagine you having any role in the future of American politics.

I just came from the rally/press conference with Epstein survivors. Inspiring to see and hear from the survivors, including one, Rosa, who had never identified herself publicly before. She wept while her lawyer spoke for her. Rosa was trafficked AFTER the Acosta deal with JE, just outrageous.

NEW: A week or so ago, one federal agent kept popping up in videos from Trump's violent DC crackdown—so @jsweetli.bsky.social and I investigated. Turns out he's a 26-year-old US Parks Police officer, a lesser known law enforcement unit currently championed by Interior Sec. Doug Burnum.

Our report:
Officer repeatedly seen on camera in DC crackdown shows Trump agents' impunity
US Park Police officer Patrick O’Hanlon isn’t unique in his behavior. He just got caught.

No picture of me from today’s protest but that Rule of Law sign is mine. I handed it off to someone else when I left. There were about 60 of us who showed up in my little red town in Northern Colorado with just a couple days’ notice.

I made the decision to run for Congress because my community has given me and my family so much. I know it won't be easy, but my community and the entire 4th district deserve representation they can believe in and trust and who they know will fight for them.

Pretty rich for Paxton to spend years writing + defending policies meant to define trans inclusive families as "sinful" while his own family falls apart for "biblical reasons", then ask for "privacy" when he's repeatedly sought access to trans kids' medical files.

Thoughts and prayers, buddy.

In 2016, Ken Paxton had the audacity to sit at my table and break bread with my family knowing full well that my son is trans, then SIX YEARS LATER wrote an opinion stating that families like mine shouldn't exist. Within days, a CPS investigator was in our home threatening to remove our children.🧵
