That is a great book, dense with facts, the sort of book where you need to take your time with every page. Well worth your time.

I read her Substack regularly and respectfully disagree. My VBNMW friends, and I do have a few, would benefit from reading her.

She is a Boston College history professor documenting our times every day without sensationalism, with an eye toward future historians who may be trying to figure out what was going on right now, & lots of us read her substack to keep up with the news with sources carefully annotated.

I have a 25 year old child currently taking graduate classes. He dreads any group projects because he knows the odds of having group members who both show up at all, and secondly, who do their own work rather than relying on AI, are pretty minimal.

Far as I can tell that is coming from the WH. And they would not have seen the unredacted documents would they? The story was Maxwell kept getting girls from MAL so there is no reason I see to believe it was Virginia.

Multiple simultaneous things need to happen: ignore the courts, pack the Supreme Court (or reduce it, just change the power dynamic, there are creative options), make PR and DC states, kill the filibuster. Then pass a new voting rights act and undo Citizens United.

I called my rep Lauren Boebert’s office this morning and was assured the “historic parts” were fine. I am not reassured.

Never miss it. I am in Mountain Time so I have not yet made it to the live show but I do have a paid subscription. A revolution in morning television, and one of the revolutionary things for me is I watch it every afternoon.

I am currently reading “Missionary Kids” and the author talks about abusive forgiveness and “redemption porn” and I immediately thought of this situation as a parallel.
