Spent this evening meeting with River Waveney Trust volunteers. A group of us are getting together to monitor pollution in our local river - so it was great to learn what others are doing. Always lovely to meet with like-minded folks. #rivers #pollution

🦷 DIY dentistry should never be anyone’s only option.
Across the country people can’t get an NHS dentist. Children end up in hospital with tooth decay and adults live in pain. NHS dentistry needs urgent funding and reform.

It’s time for the Government to fix this gap for good.

People trust the Greens - we now have the highest favourability ratings of any party.

We've quadrupled our MPs and doubled our councillors.

We’ve built the foundation. Let's build the transformation together.

The centre has so much going on, from fitness and other classes, to coffee mornings, bereavement support, outdoor play. Huge thanks to everyone who volunteers.

@kemibadenochmp.bsky.social speech today is a dereliction of duty and a u-turn on a policy that’s about ensuring a liveable future. All parties must come behind net zero and not use it as a political football.

This is to let you know that very sadly Councillor Rachel Eburne passed away on Friday 14 March 2025.

Rachel’s wisdom and warmth will be missed by so many people in so many ways. Our thoughts are with her family at this time.

The Waveney and Little Ouse Recovery project is a trailblazer and should be used as a model for natural flood management nationwide. I have written to the Minister for Food Security and Rural Affairs urging his department to maintain its support for the project. @suffolkwildlife.bsky.social

Climate action globally is under threat. It’s hugely urgent to seize initiative from rightwing populists. We need to change tactics: start by building climate resilience in local communities where people can feel tangible benefits – we’re calling it climate popularism. @rupertread.bsky.social & me🧵
It’s time for climate populism
As politics turns against net zero, we need to mobilise a genuine mass movement against ecological catastrophe.

Just randomly came across this ruined church today, on a lane we haven’t been down before. As usual in old churchyards there were snowdrops everywhere - the ‘fair maids of February.’ Fitting for Feb 1st.
As winters warm and spring arrives earlier, hope the snowdrops will keep coming back…#suffolk

🌍 We must better prepare the country for a future of more extreme weather and put nature at the heart of our response to climate breakdown. We need decisive action now.

Keir Starmer’s ‘plan for change’ won’t deliver the climate adaptation we need
The government definitely needed a reset. But it missed a crucial mission.

Infuriated. No support for a ban on bailing out water companies nor for public ownership. Just Jenny &
@nataliegreenpeer.bsky.social plus the wonderful Prem Sikka in favour. (Oh and 82% of the public.)

A vote was pointless. It was the 3 of us against Labour, Tory, Lib Dem and Crossbench apathy.

Just looking back through some photos and found this pic of our ‘lawn’ last summer. The oxeye daisies self seeded - we let them grow right up to the house - it felt like we were living in a meadow. The long grass attracted so many insects too 🦋🐝🌱

This 👇

Where I live (rural Suffolk) we really need more rural buses, plus more (and safer) spaces for wheelers and walkers of all kinds 🚲 🚶‍♀️🦽
Cars in the U.K are up to 55% larger today than they were in the 1970s and there are twice the number of cars on the U.K's roads as there were 30 years ago, but the media are still running articles claiming that a handful of cycle lanes and LTNs 'cause congestion' in London...🙄
