Just randomly came across this ruined church today, on a lane we haven’t been down before. As usual in old churchyards there were snowdrops everywhere - the ‘fair maids of February.’ Fitting for Feb 1st.
As winters warm and spring arrives earlier, hope the snowdrops will keep coming back…#suffolk

Just looking back through some photos and found this pic of our ‘lawn’ last summer. The oxeye daisies self seeded - we let them grow right up to the house - it felt like we were living in a meadow. The long grass attracted so many insects too 🦋🐝🌱

One of the #permaculture principles is ´value diversity.’ On our little smallholding, we try to grow different varieties, so something usually does well - even if a different variety is having a bad year! Diversity brings resilience 😊

Spent this evening meeting with River Waveney Trust volunteers. A group of us are getting together to monitor pollution in our local river - so it was great to learn what others are doing. Always lovely to meet with like-minded folks. #rivers #pollution
