i understand how people can be triggered by the word suicide, but how is 'sewer slide' any better? it sounds the same, it has the same definition. it feels like it would be just as triggering, probably even more so since it kinda feels like it trivializes the whole issue.

it's only to cater towards advertisers, that's the only reason. but it's so insidious cause they got people legitimately believing that it's the right thing to do, so now we're all walking on eggshells avoiding certain topics and words just cause an algorithm decided they aren't profitable anymore.
i really do worry about how younger people/generations are becoming more heavily sanitized to serious topics with people using TikTok censorship speak along with how puritanism is becoming more Dominant online, ESPECIALLY IN QUEER SPACES.
