I don't think anyone should be ashamed of thinking about suicide, whether it be intrusive thoughts or deliberate contemplation. they shouldn't be punished for needing to talk about it, but puritanical online culture forbids that. and that's just gonna make people feel more isolated, more broken

it probably does a lot more harm avoiding using the word itself, cause it kinda implies it's taboo- it's wrong, it shouldn't be talked about, it shouldn't be thought about. but it can't always be controlled? like it's usually an intrusive thought that some people just naturally have.
